The Kaduna State High Court has ordered the authorities of Kaduna Correctional Service to as a matter of urgency treat Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky’s wife, Zeena Ibrahim, for Covid-19.
Sheikh Zakzaky’s son, Mohammed, last week raised the alarm that his mother had been tested positive for COVID-19 and the authorities of the Kaduna Correctional facility had refused her proper treatment.
The presiding judge, Justice Gideon Kurada, gave the order on Monday during the secret trial of the Shiite leader and his wife.
The defence counsel, Femi Falana (SAN), who confirmed this to journalists after the court session, said Zakzaky’s legal team had presented the results of the test before the court and applied that Zeenat, the second defendant in the trial who tested positive for the virus more than one week ago, be availed with a proper medical facility to get treatment.
