Zamfara State Government through the state Contributory Healthcare services Management Agency (ZAMCHEMA), has registered 70, 000 civil servants for the contributory health scheme.
The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the agency, Dr. Yusuf Abubakar disclosed this to newsmen after a planning meeting with stakeholders ahead of the take off of the scheme in Gusau.
“At the moment, we have met almost all the requirements of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency and we are fully ready to kick start with the formal sector which is made up of the state’s civil servants and local government workers.
“Under this category which is kown as the formal sector, we have enrolled over 70,000 beneficiaries while arrangements are ongoing in the enrollment of beneficiaries from the non-formal sector,” he stated.
