Chairman of the outgoing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) caretaker committee and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has assured the governors who defected to APC from the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that their seats are intact.
He gave the assurance during the national convention of the party in Abuja.
Those who defected include Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, his Zamfara and Cross River counterparts, Bello Matawalle and Ben Ayade respectively.
Their defection were being challenged by their former party, the PDP in courts.
Buni said the action of affected governors in in line with constitution, adding that the APC would take the up challenge.
“Those whose defections are being challenged in court have nothing to fear. You have nothing to fear, your defections do not contradict any law. It will never be in vain”, he noted.
