The Chairman, Senate Committee on Defence, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has donated a 300KVA electricity transformer to some communities in Kware town, Kware local government area of Sokoto State.
The communities are Kofar Yamma, Fegi, Tarawa and Gandu.
A statement by the senator’s spokesperson Bashir Rabe Mani said the communities had suffered blackout for nearly two years, due to the breakdown of the transformer serving their areas, which had brought “untold hardship to the affected residents.”
He said the transformer was donated after Kabiru Ibrahim Kware, the state’s House Assembly representing Kware Constituency, solicited for Wamakko’s intervention.
