The woman hails from Ojogobi -Ankpa, the police said.

The command’s spokesperson, SP William Aya confirmed, said investigation to unravel the cause of their death is in progress.

“The Divisional Police Officer in Ankpa detailed detectives to the scene where they saw the lifeless bodies of the deceased persons, took their photograph and took the bodies to the zonal hospital in Ankpa where they were confirmed dead,” Aya said.

SP Aya explained that an alarm raised by the deceased’s landlord, Salisu Ibrahim, drew attention to the scene where their lifeless bodies were found on the same bed.

The police spox explained that, “So, the brother to the deceased entered the room through the ceiling and met his brother and one Blessing Adama of Ojogobi Road Ankpa lying lifeless in the room. Both deceased were seen naked.”

Aya described the deaths as sudden and unnatural, noting that the police are investigating.

Aya explained, “One Salisu Ibrahim from Alo in Ankpa came to the station about 12pm where he reported that his tenant, one Sheriff Salifu did not come out of his room as usual at about 09:31am.

“Detectives visited the scene, photographed the bodies, and moved them to the zonal hospital in Ankpa, where death was confirmed.

“The bodies underwent postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Aya added, “But the family of Sheriff requested that the body should be released to them. So, he has been buried according to Islamic rites, while the remains of Blessing Adama is still deposited at the mortuary.”
