Air Peace has announced the suspension of all flights to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, citing non-issuance of visas by the government of that country to Nigerians.
The suspension will take effect from November 22, the airline said in a statement.
Visa applications to Nigeria and 19 other countries were banned by the government of the UAE last month.
“Air Peace has been operating into the UAE even with the country’s recent travel restrictions, but given the heightening hurdles Nigerian travellers are facing in accessing the country, it has become imperative that we halt our operations to that destination.
“We shall provide further updates as the situation progresses,” the airline stated.
The airline also said it had resumed flights to Johannesburg.
The flights were suspended seven weeks ago due to the delayed issuance of South African visas to travellers as well as a hike in aviation fuel prices.
