Non-teaching staff in universities have announced plans to moblise their members on an indefinite strike from February 5.
The Joint Action Committee of NASU and SSANU made this known in a communique on Friday.
This is coming after a three- day protest over the government’s failure to honour the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed with the unions on 20 October, 2020 last week.
Among their grievances were the Federal Government’s handling of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System(IPPIS), sharing formula of the N40 billion earned academic allowances and non-payment of arrears of the new minimum wage amongst others.
