Former President Muhammadu Buhari has commended President Bola Tinubu for performing well since taking over from him despite the economic hardship experienced by Nigerians across the country.
According to Buhari, there isn’t much anybody can do to help the country at this time while noting that Nigeria is “so complex.”
Buhari who was speaking on Sunday when he hosted the Comptroller-General and members of the the Nigeria Customs Service management team o in Daura, Katsina State, said governing Nigeria is a tough job for anyone.
He pleaded with Nigerians to be patient with the economic hardship in the country and support the policies and programmes of Tinubu
“I thank you very much for coming. I very much appreciate it. I thought Tinubu has done very well,” Buhari said.
“Nigeria is so complex. Really, there isn’t much anybody can do.”
Nigeria’s economic hardship deepemed following Buhari’s exit on May 29, 2023.
Tinubu on the day of his inauguration removed subsidies in fuel, hence calling for the end of the financing because it was beneficial to neighbouring countries.
