The village head of Bardoki in Gummi local government area of Zamfara state, Matankarin Bardoki, Malam Muhammadu, has announced that he doesn’t not know the whereabouts of his immediate family members and other staff after bandits stormed his community Friday night.
Matankarin Bardoki, who took to Facebook to lament how the bandits struck, said three residents have been confirmed dead.
He also said some of the fleeing residents fall into the Walale river.
“Bandits have attacked Bardoki community and rustled unknown number of cattles, camels and sheeps. They also stole motorcycles belonging to the residents.
“The bandits conducted a house to house search were they killed three of our people and wounded several others. We’ve taken those wounded to the hospital but others have fallen into the Walale river,” he wrote on his wall.
The village head said he doesn’t know where his family members, staff and other residents have fled to since the attack that lasted several hours.
The police spokesperson in Zamfara, Mohammed Shehu, said he didn’t know of the attack but would check and revert back. He never did
