The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (KSPWA) has officially launched its 2025 Hajj enlightenment and education program for intending pilgrims.
The ceremony took place at the Pilgrim’s Enlightenment Centre in Dogarawa, Sabon Gari Local Government Area.
The Executive Chairman, Malam Salihu Abubakar, highlighted the program’s vital role in equipping pilgrims with the necessary knowledge and skills for a successful Hajj.
The training will cover Hajj rituals, Islamic principles, and potential challenges, ensuring that participants are prepared for any new regulations or procedures from authorities.
Malam Abubakar urged intending pilgrims to complete their Hajj fare payments before the deadline set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which has allocated over 6,000 Hajj seats to Kaduna State for 2025.
Alhaji Abubakar Usman Yusuf, the Director of Operations of the agency, explained that the enlightenment program will be conducted on weekends across all 23 local government areas of the state. He emphasized that attendance is compulsory for all intending pilgrims.
Malam Jamilu Abubakar Albani, the Chairman of Sabon Gari Local Government, represented by his Vice Chairman, Alhaji Abdulkareem Kamilu, emphasized the importance of complying with laws in both Nigeria and Saudi Arabia to ensure an accepted Hajj, which leads to Aljannah (paradise).
