Useini who decried the alarming rate of political thuggery in the state, said security operatives would not fold their arms and allow miscreants derail the peace being enjoyed in the state.
“Don’t take us as toys. We are well trained and equipped to dealt with any situation.
“The operation involves military and unlike the police, the military’s rule of engagement is to subdue anybody found wielding weapon. They can kill that person.
“We met with representatives of the two major political parties and we told them there is no room for negotiation for the release of political thugs and their sponsors,” he said
He called on the general public to collaborate with the security agencies to rid the state of political thugs.
The CP also warned political parties against engaging vigilantes and other unconventional security operatives during the election, saying any vigilante found at polling unit will be treated as a threat to security.
