The bill prohibiting discrimination against persons with disabilities in Sokoto state has been passed into law by the state assembly.
The chairman of the House Committee on Social Welfare, Culture and Poverty Alleviation, Kabiru Dauda, who disclosed this Wednesday, said the committee and the relevant stakeholders met on the bill.
Dauda said the committee observed that some sections of the bill were unnecessary and irrelevant as they were repetitions while some were not in conformity with modern techniques of legislative drafting.
