Good stuff and cattle sellers under the eagis of the National Amalgameted Union of Food stuff and Cattle Sellers have demanded compensation from government for their members killed in both the EndSARS protest and the recent crisis at Shasha market Ibadan, Oyo state.
They threatened to withdraw their services nationwide if their demand are not met within seven days.
They gave the notice Sunday evening during a press conference in Abuja.
National Secretary of the Union, Ahmed Alarama said during the EndSARS protest they lost not less than 100 members and 151 in the Shasha Market violence.
He said 100 trucks that were destroyed, adding that the estimate of damage was put at N450 billion.
Alarama said the Union also seeks protection from law enforcement agents in the course of doing their legitimate business across the country.
They alleged constant harassment as well as as extortion of their members throughl imposition of illegal road blocks and taxes particularly in the south west and south east.
