The Senate on Wednesday referred the consideration of appointment of former service chiefs as non-career ambassadors-designate to its committee on foreign affairs for screening to report back in two weeks.
Also the senate joint committee on army, navy and air force has been mandated to screen the new service chiefs for further legislative input and report back in two weeks.
Senate president Ahmad Lawan who presided over the plenary also referred the appointment of Mr. Larry Chukwu as commissioner, Nigerian Law Reform Commission, to the committee on judiciary.
