The spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Plateau State, Sylvanus Namang, and a shop owner have been killed on Saturday.
Namang an indigene of Mangu Local Government Area of the State was shot in the head at Pankshin Local Government Area of the State.
The politician died from the injury he sustained from the attack.
The gunmen suspected to be armed robbers killed Namang and the owner of a provision store in Pankshin town.
The State Chairman of the Party, Rufus Bature Namang was killed when he went for a wedding in his village and then proceeded to Pankshin to visit someone.
‘I don’t have the details yet but he was gunned down in Pankshin,” Nature said.
Namang retired as the North Central Director of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN.
The State Police spokesperson, DSP Alfred Alabo was yet to respond to enquiry on the incident as at press time.
