The Senator representing Oyo South, Kola Balogun, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Balogun, who is the Olubadan of Ibadan, defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday.
According to The PUNCH, Balogu exited the party following the decision of Governor Seyi Makinde to handover the ticket for the senatorial district to Joseph Tegbe, who defected to the PDP from the APC.
Senator Balogun has now aligned with Senator Teslim Folarin, who is set to declare his governorship ambition at the same ceremony
