The most wanted bandtb leader, Kachallah Bello Turji, has reportedly killed the leader of vigilantes at Tozai village and 11 farmers at Lugu village,.all in Isa local government area of Sokoto state.
One of the residents of Isa who spoke on condition of anonymity said the attacks occurred between Monday and Wednesday.
“He killed the vigilantes leader on Monday and killed the farmers who were working on their farms in the early hours of Wednesday.
Another resident of Isa said they got intelligence report that, Turji was coming to celebrate Sallah at the eastern part of Gatawa, which is a district in Sabon Birni local government area of the state
“We shared the report with security operatives and other people that mattered for them to take proactive measures but failed to do so,” the source said
The spokesperson of the Sokoto Police Command, ASP Ahmad Rufa’i, however, denied knowledge of the attack.
