The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says it will hold zonal congresses across the six geo-political zones March 6, 2021.
The PDP spokesman Kola Ologbondiyan in a statement in Abuja said the party’s Central Working Committee set the date. He said aspirants for the various offices are expected to submit their nomination forms by February 25, 2021.
Also, the submission of nomination forms, including aspirants for National Ex-Officio has been fixed for on or before February 25, 2021.
In another development, the party has lifted the suspension on Ndudi Elumelu, Toby Okechukwu, Wole Oke, Lynda Ikpeazu, Anayo Edwin, Gideon Gwani, and Adekoya Abdulmajid.
“The NWC said the decision was part of the recommendations of various committees set on issues relating to the suspension,” and charges the lawmakers to be loyal to the party and obey its directives in line with its constitution and vision of its founding fathers,” he said.
