A traditional ruler in Oyo state, the Oloko of Oko, Oba Gabriel Adepoju, is dead.
He died on Sunday at the age of 85.
He was the ruler of Oko Ile town, in Orire Local Government, Oyo State.
Oba Adepoju ascended the throne in 1997 and died in the early hours of Sunday, according to FRCN.
This is the third monarch to die in the state between December 2021 and January 2022.
The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi died on 12 December 2021 at the age of 95.
The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji died on January 2nd 2022 at the age of 93.
