Osun state has registered 1,500 prospective pilgrims for this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
The Chairman of the State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, Alhaji Maruf Ishola, said this during an enlightenment programme for them on Wednesday in Osogbo.
Ishola said the prospective pilgrims had deposited their Hajj fees with the board towards a successful preparation.
He said the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) had allocated 1,500 seats for the pilgrimage in the state, adding that Osun had the highest registration and clearance in the southwest states.
He, however, called on the prospective pilgrims that were yet to complete the remaining payment of their fees to do so without delay.
Ishola also assured all of them that necessary logistics had been put in place for a hitch-free Hajj.
