No Nigerians have been identified as victims of the earthquake that struck Turkey, according to Ismail Yusuf, Nigeria’s ambassador to the Republic of Turkey.
Yusuf disclosed this in a telephone interview on Tuesday
He said that the Embassy was keeping track of the whereabouts of every registered Nigerian in the country.
A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck numerous locations in southeast Turkey in the early hours of February 6.
The earthquake, according to President Recep Erdogan, was the biggest calamity the nation had seen in 84 years.
Yusuf stated that rescue attempts were ongoing and that, as of the time of speaking with him, there had been no reports of any Nigerian casualties residing in the impacted area.
