Nine people were arrested for making pillow cases with used sanitary pads and pampers.
The suspects were said to have been using the trash in filling the cases which they sold to the public.
Parading the suspects, the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Bello Alkali Argungu, said the suspects were arrested following a tip-off.
“They used small children who got them the trash. They filled the pillow cases with it which they sell to their customers.
“The pillow cases carry different logos of reputable foams companies,” he said.
According to Argungu, this was capable of endangering the health of their customers.
“They may contract some diseases without knowing the cause.
“I am appealing to our people to always go for businesses that are legitimate,” he said.
