A Nigerian filmmaker, Akinola Davies Jr., has unveiled his short film, ‘Lizard’ at the ongoing Sundance film festival, an annual film festival organised by the Sundance Institute, United States.
It is a non-profit organisation committed to the growth of independent artists.
The festival is the largest independent film festival in the United States, and it takes place each January at the Sundance Resort.
In the festival there are competitive categories, documentary and dramatic films, both feature length and short films.
Awards are given to each category as well as out-of-competition categories for showcasing new films.
‘Lizard’ is the only Nigerian film showcasing at the ongoing 2021 edition of the festival.
The filmmaker Davies Jr, said he was grateful for this great achievement, and took to his Instagram page to announce it to film lovers and fans.
