The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami has met with APC governors at the National Secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
APC governors that attended the meeting include the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF) and Kebbi State governor, Atiku Bagudu, Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna), Yahaya Bello (Kogi), and Bello Matawalle (Zamfara).
The apex court had fixed WEdnesday, February 22 for hearing on the Naira swap policy.
The Supreme Court had ordered the CBN not to implement the February 10 deadline for use of old N200, N500 and N1,000 notes, but the CBN had ignored the order.
Mr Malami had a closed meeting with the party’s national chairman Abdullahi Adamu, it was learned.
Both Malami and the governors have refused to speak with journalists after the meeting.
