An agreement to ensure the availability of petroleum products across the country has been signed between the Association of Distributors and Transporters of Petroleum Products (ADITOP) and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN).
Presidents of ADITOP and IPMAN, Alhaji Lawan Dansaki and Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo, respectively, signed the agreement in Abuja on Wednesday.
Okoronkwo said the synergy with ADITOP, which members were majorly tanker owners, would alleviate the suffering of Nigerians in getting petroleum products.
He also said the agreement would ensure that strikes in the oil and gas industry stopped, if not totally but reduced to the minimum level.
Dansaki said the synergy was imperative to address any obstruction in the delivery of petroleum products.
