Abiola Atanda, a veteran film star popularly known as Madam Kofo, has revealed that the highest she ever got as a budding actress in her prime is N10.
She disclosed this when she spoke at the unveiling of the Tube Awards, which took place at the Eko Hotel and Suites at the weekend.
“When I started my career over five decades back, we were more passionate and it’s more about the arts for many of us. The wealth and fortune weren’t anywhere near our aim as we put in our all to educate, and entertain. The highest fee I ever got then was N10, so it’s laudable to see that all these are happening after many years,” she said.
This revelation is coming months after the actress said she’s happy actors can afford a good life, accommodation and luxury.
