Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara is expected to be out for several weeks with a hamstring injury suffered in Saturday’s Premier League 2-2 draw against Fulham.
The Spain international, was substituted after 51 minutes of the game at Craven Cottage.
Although Liverpool do not consider the injury to be serious one, he will have a second scan later this week.
Liverpool already have injury worries as midfielders Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are injured, now Thiago will be added to the list of injured players.
Liverpool play Crystal Palace, Manchester United, Bournemouth and Newcastle in August before visiting Everton on 3 September.
