The Federal Government says it will not allow any fresh protest at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos.
Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed who issued the warning on Thursday during a press briefing in Abuja, said security operatives are on alert to guide against violence.
The warning came against the backdrop of the plan to #OccupyLekkiTollGate, which came after the ruling of the Lagos Judicial Panel of Inquiry to open the Lekki Toll gate.
The panel, headed by Doris Okuwobi, a retired judge, on Saturday ruled in favour of the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) to repossess the toll plaza for repairs and insurance claims.
Angered by the development, some youths scheduled Saturday, February 13, 2021, for a protest at the tollgate.
Referring to the carnage across Lagos during the #EndSARS protests, the minister said the government would not fold its arms and watch Lagos “burn again.”
