Bandits who abducted 39 students from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Igabi local government area of Kaduna state have demanded N500 million for their release.
One hundred and eighty students were release hours after they were kidnapped, while 39 still in their captivity.
Security sources said the Bandits have reached out to the families of the 39 students, demanding N500 million ransom.
The bandits in military uniform on Saturday have also released a video showing their captives in the forest.
The Kaduna State Government is yet to respond to the videos.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai had ruled out the possibility of paying ransom or negotiating with the bandits. The governor had favoured kinetic approach to end bandits.
