Hunger protesters in Katsina continued their demonstration on Monday waving the flags of Russia.
This is despite the call by President Bola Tinubu in a nationwide broadcasting Sunday morning calling on them to suspend the action and come for dialogue.
Conveners of the protests said the action would last from August 1 to August 10.
The protest which started in the morning of Monday in Katsina, had some protesters waving Russian flags and chanting in Hausa, “Hunger is killing us,”
Policemen have started trailing them, firing teargas to disperse them.
