The Nigeria Medical Association says it lost three members to coronavirus, while 53 others contracted the virus since its outbreak in Kano State.
The state Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Dr. Usman Ali, disclosed this on Monday during an interview with journalists in Kano.
Usman said the recent death was that of a consultant epidemiologists who died in an isolation center last week Monday.
He said, some of their members recently tested returned positives, adding that “by the time we add up the numbers, it will jump up as well.”
He said the data comprise of both the first and second wave of the pandemic.
