Veteran Kannywood actress Fatima Usman popularly known in the Hausa entertainment industry as Fati Slow is dead.
The actress who has been in the entertainment sector for over two decades died in a town called Adasha which is close to Sudan after a protracted illness.
The death was announced by her colleague in the entertainment industry Mansura Isa when she posted the news on her verified Facebook account. The post says, the late actress died in the early hours of Tuesday.
Her post read, “Innalillahi wainna illahi raji’un, Allah ya yi wa Fati Slow rasuwa. Allah Ya jikanta, Allah Ya yi mata rahama, ameen.” Meaning, For Allah we are and from him we shall return, Fati Slow is dead, May Allah have mercy on her soul Amin.
According to Mansura the actress had since been buried according to Islamic rites and already her family in Nigeria are presently receiving sympathizers at her Unguwa Uku residence in Kano.
Already, condolences have begun to pour-in as many actresses and actors have been spotted at the late actress’s residence to condole her family.
