Following initial discussions with President Samia Suluhu Hassan, British actor Idris Elba intends to establish a film studio in Tanzania, according to a presidential aide.
Prior to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the actor had a chance encounter with President Samia.
“Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina visited with the president; they are eager to invest in a film studio in Tanzania. The studio will help not only Tanzania but also east and central Africa, according to Zuhura Yunus, director of presidential communications. The talks are still in the early stages.
President Samia has implemented a number of reforms since taking office, including
