Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Thursday said he is not on Koo, and urged the public to disregard the impostor account.
The Federal Government has suspended a microblogging site, Twitter after it deleted President Muhammadu Buhari’s post referencing the Civil War.
After Twitter’s ban, many Nigerians have been using private networks to access Twitter, while others have migrated to Koo, another microblogging platform.
A statement by his spokesperson Muyiwa Adeyeye said “The Kaduna State Government has disowned an account that is passing off as Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai on Koo, an app that recently debuted in Nigeria.
“Malam El-Rufai has not signed on to Koo. As such, any account currently on that app purporting to be him is fake and should be treated as such.
“The general public is advised to kindly disregard the impostor with the Koo handle @nelrufai and account name, Nasir El-rufai.”
