The new Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major General Ibrahim Attahiru, said he counts himself lucky to be appointed as the chief of army staff.
Attahiru said this on Thursday during the handing over from the outgoing COAS Lt-General Tukur Buratai at the Army Headquarters, Abuja.
President Muhammadu Buhari appointed new service chiefs on Tuesday.
The new COAS thanked the president for finding him worthy for the position, and solicited the support of officers and soldiers to reposition the Nigerian Army.
