A Nigerian series producer, Wale Adenuga says film production is slow due to COVID-19 restrictions and insecurity in the country.
He said this during an interview with journalists on the challenges of film making in the country.
Adenuga, a former cartoonist and publisher, had produced series like Super Story, Papa Ajasco, Nnenna & Friends Children’s and This Life; family drama.
He said producers also battle with the menace of “area boys” after paying the necessary dues to the government, adding that Films producers are also scared shot in some place due to insecurity in the country.
“One of the major problems of the film industry has always been the issue of quality,” he said.
Adenuga advised upcoming producers to seek excellence and stop cutting corners as there was no need to rush production.
