Gunmen have kidnapped 18 traders who were travelling from Kano to Abia State, along along Lokoja-Okene expressway in Kogi state.
The victims, who are all from the popular Kantin Kwari textile market, were traveling to Aba in Abia State to buy goods when their vehicle was attacked and taken to the bush by the gunmen.
The Managing Director of Kantin Kwari Market Management Board, Alhaji Abba Bello, has confirmed the incident.
He said the kidnappers have requested N27 million as ransom from the victims’ families.
