Five people have been reportedly killed when gunmen attacked the residence of a Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, in Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
The incident according to residents of the area happened at about 1 am on Thursday.
The residents said the gunmen allegedly came in military camouflage and operated for about three hours.
They said some of the victims include Igboho’s wife, a Muslim cleric, and a female associate, adding that Igboho was not at the residence when the incident occurred.
Sources also said the attackers took away corpses of the victims and all injured in the attack.
The Oyo State Police Command is yet to issue a statement on the incident.
