Bala Baba, a special assistant to the Taraba State deputy governor, Haruna Manu, has been abducted, police authorities have confirmed.
About 15 gunmen invaded the residence of the politician Monday night, broke his gate and forcefully took him away.
Sources reported that the kidnappers shot sporadically on the air to scare away curious neigbours.
ASP Leha Reform, the state command spokesperson said “investigation has started by the police and efforts intensified to rescue the deputy governor’s aide.”
