Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the appointment of Dr Aminu Umar Yuguda as acting Accountant General of the state.
Head of Civil Service of the state, Alhaji Bappayo Yahaya, who sighed the letter of appointment, said it was with immediate effect.
He said the decision “is pursuant to the powers conferred on his Excellency by section 208 sub section ( 2C) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
He said the appointment was informed by Yuguda’s personal qualities, loyalty, and dedication to duty as well as cognate experience in the public service.
Yuguda was born on November 21, 1974. He obtained Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees in Accounting from University of Maiduguri, as well as a Ph.D from University of Jos.
He is also an Associate Chattered Accountant (ACA) and Fellow Chattered of National Accountant (FCNA), among others.
Until this appointment, the acting Accountant General was Director Treasury in the Treasury Headquarters, Gombe.
