The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, has urged Nigerians to provide an enabling environment for the incoming government to thrive.
Gambari made the call in Birnin Kebbi during a visit to Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State and Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Bashar.
He said Nigerians should support the incoming administration so that it could build on the positive record of President Buhari would be leaving behind.
“I am here on a private visit to see the governor and His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gwandu. Because, as we are coming to the end of this administration.
”I am here to appreciate them for their support, prayers and also make a point that elections are now over.
He said Buhari’s legacies include the conduct and supervision and free and fair 2023 general elections, adding that Nigerians would remember the out going president for his fight against corruption, the agricultural revolution which has started making Nigerians eat what they are producing.
”Among other legacies are the diversified economy. We are now producing what we are eating,” adding that many states in Nigeria now have various crops they have an economic advantage upon and they are producing it abundantly.
“President Muhammadu has constructed a lot of road kilometers. These are the legacies he will be leaving behind.”
