The Abuja-Karshi based Fosla academy showed class and superiority as they defeated Christ Comprehensive School of Kaduna 2-0 in Tuesday’s final.
With this victory, Fosla academy has become the first winner of the National Principal’s Cup.
Fosla academy represented the North-Central zone at the final while Christ Comprehensive School Kakuira represented the North-West region.
The final took place at the practising pitch of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
Speaking after the victory, the coach Gilbert Igwe, said the school’s mission has been achieved.
“We set out from day one to win the competition and I am glad that the players did not lose focus. I am grateful to God for his grace and also thankful to the management of Fosla for their support,” the coach said.
“We played nine matches to win the cup without losing any. So the players were spot-on and the coaching crew did their best too,” he said. The Nation.”
The academy is owned by Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi, former NFF president.
