The Federal Government has approved the establishment of SIM Swap Centres by telecoms operators.
Minister of Communication, Isa Pantami who disclosed this also said telecom operators also have their enrolment license tenure extended.
He explained that the decision was taken to allow MNO to open SIM Swap centres across all local government areas in Nigeria.
“Approval was also given for the extension of the tenure of NIN enrollment agent licenses for MNOs from 1 to 5 years in consideration of their satisfactory performance, subject to continuous monitoring”, he noted.
