Alhaji Dahiru Abba, the father of the Chairman of Rimin Gado Local Government Area of Kano State, Barrister Munir Dahiru Maigari,, has been killed.
Alhaji Abba was until his death the Village Head of Maigari in the LGA.
The Chairman of Rimin Gado Local Government, who disclosed the sad news, said the gunmen killed his father around 2am.
“They came and did what they did. We are now preparing for his burial.
“We cannot say anything regarding the cause of what happened for now, but he is dead and we pray for God’s mercy on his soul,” he said.
The chairman revealed that the gunmen broke into the monarch’s residence and assaulted him before opening fire.
He said his father would be laid to rest at his residence in Maigari village on Sunday morning.
The Kano State Police spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said he was not aware of the incident but would investigate and get back to our reporter.
