Former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Femi Fani-Kayode says he’s still a member of the PDP.
This is contrary to the statement in a viral video credited to Kogi state governor Yahaya Bello on Wednesday that Fani-Kayode has joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former minister said that he is still talking to parties, but added that he has not left the PDP.
“Though we have had meetings across party lines and we are in a season of political consultation, I have not left the PDP,” he wrote on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.
Fani-Kayode on Monday met with Bello and the APC caretaker chairman Mai Mala Buni, triggering speculation that he had defected to the ruling party.
