A former Military Administrator of Kano and Benue States, Dominic Oneya, is dead.
Oneya was born May 26, 1948.
He died on Wednesday at his home town, Agbarho, Delta State, after a brief illness, a family source told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE on Thursday.
He was Military Administrator of Kano State, from August 1996 to August 1998 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha.
Oneya was also Military Administrator of Benue State from August 1998 to May 1999 during the regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar.
He handed over power to the elected executive governor of Benue, George Akume on 29 May 1999.
Oneya later became Chairman of the Nigeria Football Association (NFF).
