Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has appointed a former Director General Media and Publicity under Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, Ahmed Maiyaki, as Managing Director of Kaduna Media Corporation (KSMC).
Mr Maiyaki was a former reporter with Radio France Internationale (RFI).
He has two decades of experience in Media and Strategic Communication.
He holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mass Communications from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and has participated in various local and international training programs, including a Project Management Certification Programme that accredited him as an Associate Chartered Project Manager.
In 2022, Maiyaki was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Data, Research, and Verification Committee for the Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Council (ICC).
He also served in various capacities for the Kaduna State APC Campaign Council during the 2023 general elections.
During his tenure as a reporter with Radio France Internationale (RFI), Maiyaki was acknowledged by the World Health Organization (WHO) as one of Nigeria’s most influential journalists for his contributions to the eradication of poliomyelitis in the country.
According to Mohammed Lawal Shehu, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Uba Sani, other appointments include Nuhu Goroh-Shadalafiya as Chairman of the Kaduna State Legislative Service Commission.
Ibrahim Abdulkarim Adamu was appointed as Managing Director of Kaduna Market Development and Management Company; Engineer Idris Aminu as Managing Director of Kaduna State Power Supply Company; and Mr. Bamai Abu Nehamiah as Senior Special Assistant on Security.
