The Senate on Thursday begins the screening of the former service chiefs nominated as non-career ambassadors behind closed doors.
The former security chiefs arrived at the National Assembly complex at exactly 11.32 am, they went straight to the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Babajide Omoworare, who immediately led them to the hearing room.
By 12 pm when the screening was to begin, chairman of senate committee on foreign affairs, Senator Adamu Muhammad Bulkachuwa (APC, Bauchi North), ordered for an executive session with members of the committee who were present.
Their screening by the committee will last for two weeks.
