The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has travelled to the Kingdom of Morocco on a week official visit.
The visit was on the invitation of King Mohammed VI, the palace said in a statement on Sunday.
During the visit, the Emir will undertake series of official engagements with the Moroccan Authorities, including meetings members of the Business Community and religious leaders.
The statement said, “Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and his entourage will also visit several Moroccan major cities such as Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier and the holy city of Fes among others. The visit will culminate with a courtesy call on King Mohammed VI, by the Emir who is expected back in Nigeria early next week.”
Those on the Emir’s entourage include Alhaji Ahmed Ado Bayero, Sarkin Dawakin Tsakar Gida and the District Head of Kumbotso, Amb. Ahmed Umar, Dan Malikin Kano, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matawalle, Talban Kano, Alhaji Magaji Galadima, Kachallan Kano and a group of distinguished Businessmen from within and outside the Kano Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture-KACCIMA.
