The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 1,633 new coronavirus infections in the country.
The NCDC disclosed on its official website on Saturday that the new infections were recorded across 20 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
The public health agency said it recorded five casualties on Saturday, bringing the total death toll so far recorded due to COVID-19 to 1,502.
In the NCDC new update 120,602 infections have been recorded, 95,901 have recovered and 1,502 have died since the coronavirus hit the country in February 2020.
It said Nigerian currently has 23,933 active cases.
